Last Week’s Friddle Answer: Black paint dried much quicker than the pigmented colors of that time. Model T’s rolled off assembly lines as fast as possible for eager consumers and any delays in production would have added additional costs. Color options were reintroduced in the mid 20’s due to increased industry competition and the development of faster drying proxylin paints.
