Gas Engine Head Remanufacturing
Cast iron heads are wet magnafluxed
to detect any cracks or flaws.
Aluminum heads are inspected
in
all critical areas to ensure a
sound casting.
Valve guides are reamed to
accommodate oversize valve
stems, and ensure valves are
properly aligned with the seat.
Cylinder heads are resurfaced
to a finish of 50-160 Rz for
aluminum, 100-300 Rz for
cast iron, to ensure proper
mating of heads to the block.
Three-angle valve seat cutting
allows for a precise, consistent
mating surface for valves.
Heads are assembled with a
standard
set of new valves, springs, seals and keepers for total performance
and reliability. (Import applications receive new or remanufactured valves and springs.)
O.H.C. heads are align
bored to ensure proper
camshaft alignment, and
proper oil clearances.
All JASPER cylinder heads
are
vacuum tested to ensure correct
valve seating, so important for
long valve life.
