VMF Spotlight - Sarasota, FL
The Sarasota, Florida, VMF is home to 13 postal employees: Tal Pinson, Manager; David Taylor, General Clerk and Mike Sporl, Storekeeper. Dennis Rodriquez and Kevin Dwyer are Lead Mechanics and Vern Lykins is the Lead Floor Mechanic. Mechanics Tim Cann, Brian Daro, Angel Pacheco, Bill Cleveland, Greg Pomerleau and Pete Mayer, along with Garage man, John Ross, round out the talented staff. These 13 employees have a combined total of almost 300 years of postal experience.
The Sarasota VMF opened in 1957 with an old school bus as an office and a big shade tree as a garage for working on vehicles. From that humble beginning, the Sarasota facility has been providing service on postal vehicles for 53 years. A number of vehicle changes in the 70's and 80's brought in Jeep and AMC vehicles. The current mail delivery vehicle, the LLV, showed up in the late 80's. A long history with Mac Motors providing parts continued when Jasper Innovative Solutions acquired Mac Motors and improved parts and service quality.
Beginning in the 1990's and continuing into the present day, the Postal Service began a program of auditing its VMFs, including rigorous accounting and parts compliance programs. A number of items in this audit were record keeping, parts handling and the turn-around time of having vehicle parts available for repairs. The Sarasota VMF received one of the highest scores and was presented with the Model One Audit Award. This award is so prestigious that the Postmaster General presented a plaque to the VMF.

Product Quality
Jasper Innovative Solutions takes considerable pride in the quality of the products it supplies, and whenever possible, strives to provide parts produced by the vehicle's manufacturer. As a rule, the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) is utilized to insure that the service repair part is of the same quality as that originally built into the vehicle. This guarantees the storekeeper that the replacement part will meet the standards of those set forth by the vehicle's manufacturer.

Jasper Innovative Solutions understands that a company's surest path to success still depends on the age-old art of listening. We listen to our customers, and in doing so, learn from them. To accomplish this goal, every Vehicle Maintenance Facility is assigned a trained account representative. This individual is responsible for answering any questions a storekeeper has concerning vehicle replacement parts. They're also the primary contact in placing orders and resolving any issues or concerns.
Your representative keeps in contact, monitoring our effectiveness in order filling efficiency, product quality and order turn around time.
Further understanding of your needs is achieved through periodic field visits to your facility. These visits are an excellent opportunity for both sales reps and storekeepers to sit down and discuss issues on a more personal level.
