When Jasper Engines & Transmissions began remanufacturing transmissions in 1957, standard transmissions were more the norm than their automatic counterparts. While the ease and convenience of automatic transmissions began to take hold, standard transmissions remained the favorite among those who liked to take a more active role in their vehicle’s operation and performance. A ’68 Camaro or a Boss Mustang with an automatic? Unthinkable.

Standard transmissions have enjoyed a resurgence in recent years and Jasper Engines & Transmissions has been at the forefront in their remanufacturing. For fleets and heavy duty users, JASPER offers a full range of medium and heavy duty standard transmissions — 5 speeds up to 20 speeds — for such manufacturers as Clark, Eaton, Fuller, Mack, Meritor (Rockwell), Muncie, TTC (Spicer) and ZF. Heavy duty transfer cases are also available.
