Who We Are

Jasper Engines & Transmissions was founded in 1942 and today is the nation’s largest mass remanufacturer of a diverse line of power train components. Annual production includes over 150,000 gas and diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, rear axle assemblies, air and fuel components, and marine products.

JASPER® personnel have been named Remanufacturer of the Year an unprecedented three times by PERA, The Production Engine Remanufacturer’s Association.

Corporate and remanufacturing operations are located in Jasper, Indiana, where the company operates four remanufacturing facilities. Remanufacturing facilities are also located in Crawford County, Indiana (the site of a distribution center as well) and Willow Springs, Missouri. A second distribution center is located in Kingman, Arizona, to provide greater availability to JASPER’s West Coast Customers.

Jasper Engines & Transmissions employs over 2,300 Associates. JASPER products are distributed through a network of 51 Branch Locations Nationwide.

JASPER is made up of more than just equipment, raw materials and quality products, however. We are a company of valued Associates working together in a team atmosphere. JASPER Associates are key to the business and work hard to produce the best products on the market and to maintain our strong corporate philosophy. We have built an exceptional relationship between management and Associates. It is a relationship mutual of trust and mutual respect. Each of us knows what our mission is and what we must do to accomplish it. This type of relationship has contributed to our total success since our founding in 1942. Our Mission Statement is Simple: “Do It Right… and Have Fun.”

Our Culture

Our company has a unique corporate culture. It is a culture we’ve developed and refined since our founding. The basis of our corporate philosophy can be found in six very simple words: “Do It Right…and Have Fun.” At JASPER, we believe that whatever we do, whatever our job is, we must “Do It Right.” Whether it is installing a piston on the production line, sweeping the floors every evening or making the sales calls that place our products in the hands of thousands of customers, we must always strive to “Do It Right” if we are to continue our pattern of growth and success.

The second part of our mission statement is: “and Have Fun.” We work hard and we play hard. We are a family at JASPER and our company functions like the annual Family Picnic and Awards Banquet, reflect the spirit of togetherness and camaraderie we feel is so important in developing strong bonds and relationships among all JASPER Associates. Having fun is an integral part of our jobs. We enjoy our work and our contributions to the community as well as producing quality, value-oriented products.

What We Expect of Our Associates

At JASPER we expect everyone who joins our company to work hard and maintain our commitment to safety, quality, productivity, customer service, the reduction of waste and contributing to our efforts of being environmentally friendly. We work hard not only to produce the highest quality products we can, but also to maintain an image of quality and professionalism. We expect our Associates to wear a clean, gray uniform shirt each day, to keep their hair cut and maintain a good personal appearance. JASPER Associates are the company and the way they work and look makes a definite impression on the 2,500 customers and prospects who tour our facility annually.
