Yes, it's turkey time! Dating back to what is traditionally known as "The First Thanksgiving" in 1621, turkeys have been at the centerpiece of this holiday feast. With turkey being the most common dish of a Thanksgiving dinner, Thanksgiving is commonly known as "Turkey Day."
For over 40 years it has been Jasper Engines and Transmissions' tradition to distribute turkeys to its Associates before the Thanksgiving and Easter holidays. Between the Jasper and Leavenworth (Crawford County), Indiana facilities, JASPER distributed 1,400 turkeys, with another 360 certificates for turkeys distributed among our 43 branch locations. The Associates were also given the option to donate their bird to a local charity. A number of turkeys were donated to local food banks, churches and a nursing home. Our Willow Springs, Missouri manufacturing facility is scheduled to distribute turkeys next week.
Whether you like your turkey roasted, deep fried, smoked, steamed, grilled, turduckened, brined, marinated, or rotisseried. Sit down and enjoy some time with family and friends this upcoming holiday. We all have a lot for which to be thankful.
