JASPER® Announces ‘Do It Right’ Award Winners for 2022

Five JASPER Associates were recognized in January by CEO Doug Bawel as winners of the annual ‘Do It Right’ Award for 2022.

Throughout the year supervisors, or fellow Associates, can nominate Associates for the ‘Do It Right’ Award. An Associate may be nominated for any form of outstanding service to JASPER, its Associates, or customers.

A total of 28 Associates were nominated for their services in 2022. At the end of the year management reviews all the nominations, and presents awards to the most outstanding nominees. The number of awards may vary from year to year, depending upon the number of deserving nominees. Congratulations to the following winners for 2022:

Bo Law – Baltimore Branch Delivery Driver

Bo responded to an accident where a vehicle had flipped over. He assisted in righting the vehicle so the intersection could be cleared.

Mark Salavarria – Jacksonville Warehouse Operations Manager

Mark helped prevent the total loss of a stolen and abandoned truck owned by Stateline Hauling. He deployed a fire extinguisher when he noticed the truck had been set on fire near the Jacksonville Branch.

Chad Reed – JET Transit Driver

Chad noticed a semi truck smoking due to its brakes catching fire. He followed the truck for approximately 20 miles, got the driver to stop, then used a fire extinguisher to help put out the fire.

David Perez Benavides – JASPER Gas POD 30

David stopped to help a fellow Associate-Owner that was hanging from a wall after falling from a ladder. David’s help prevented the Associate from falling several feet to the ground.

Mike Murray – JET Transit Driver – Kingman

Mike assisted first responders at an accident scene where a camper and truck had flipped. Mike grabbed his first aid kit and helped the driver with minor injuries.
