“These engines utilize JASPER-engineered pistons that are a forged 4032 alloy, a significant upgrade from standard OEM cast aluminum,” said JASPER New Product Development Group Leader Brad Boeglin. “These pistons are engineered for enhanced strength; designed with stronger ring lands capable of withstanding high cylinder pressures. Additionally, our engines are equipped with a robust two-piece (2.0 mm) oil ring for improved oil control and reducing oil consumption.”
“During our initial research, we found a majority of the cores received had intake valve face deformation, causing loss of compression,” Boeglin said. “Metallurgical testing results indicated that the original valves were manufactured using Silchrome-1 material. To address this, we designed and sourced a valve featuring a valve head made of 21-4N material and a stainless-steel stem.”
“This improvement ensures long-term reliability by using superior materials to eliminate the risk of failure from recurring in the future,” he added.
The Ford 5.0L Coyote Gen I and Gen II engines are covered by a nationwide, transferable parts and labor warranty of up to 3 years or 100,000 miles. A full warranty disclosure is available on our website or upon request.
