Indiana Governor, Mike Pence visited the Jasper Engines and Transmissions facilities on June 2nd as part of a tour of southwestern Indiana.
Governor Pence met with JASPER Chairman/ CEO Doug Bawel, Company President Zach Bawel, along with members of JASPER's Executive Committee, to discuss current political issues. Following their meeting, Governor Pence was given a personal tour of the Wernsing Road and Power Drive facilities.
The opening of JASPER's Power Drive facility comes on the heels of other good job reports in Indiana. Dubois county has the lowest unemployment rate in Indiana at 2.9%, well below the state average of 5.4%.
In describing the meeting, Bawel said, "The Governor was very impressed with JASPER's work ethic and, more importantly, the quality of the products our Associates remanufacture."
