(JASPER, IN – October 31, 2013) That's right! This Halloween we had two charitable events running simultaneously. Just another day at the office for this dynamic duo. We had another successful Casual Dress/Soup Day at Jasper Engines & Transmissions. This year's Halloween Casual Day donations will benefit Relay for Life - Breast Cancer Awareness. For fun, Associates wore costumes or casual clothes for a $1 donation. JASPER and its Associates raised over $550 for this event! "Doing It Right... And Having Fun!" Our Inside Sales Department also hosted "Soup Day" to benefit the local Soup Kitchen – Dubois County Community Meal. Associates brought in over a dozen pots of homemade soup, sandwiches and other ghoulish goodies for the event. Together, JASPER and its Associates raised $720 during this event! "We had amazing participation from our Inside Sales Department in this event. We always look forward to this, it's so much fun! Thank you to everyone who came and contributed", said event organizer Angie Robinson. It's truly amazing what happens when we all come together to support worthy causes. "Think globally, act locally."

These three Packards were among the many collectable cars which made the rainy trip from Frenck Lick to the JASPER Facility. This year's Louisville Concours d' Elegance weekend included a visit to the headquarters of Jasper Engines & Transmissions in Jasper, IN. The weekend event showcased some of the most exceptional examples of well-designed and notable collector cars of the past while benefiting Kosair Children's Hospital. Patrons of the Concours make the annual trip to have their cars assessed by world-renown judges in hopes of receiving "Best in Show". Performance and Authentic Division Manager, Darren Ragsdale, explains the benefits of a JASPER numbers-matching build. The group of 120 car enthusiasts toured the Jasper Facility and viewed a short film on the history and heritage of our company before departing to sample German cuisine by the Schnitzelbank at KlubHaus 61. Their road trip continued as they motored through the winding scenic roads back to the French Lick Resort for the Great Gatsby Gala in the Atrium at the West Baden Springs Hotel.
Just wanted to thank you for including me in the Jasper tour yesterday. Everyone, from the pilot, to Gayla the tour guide, to Department Managers, to all Associates, were all very gracious and accommodating. I knew that the Jasper brand was always held in high regard...and, now I know why. It is clear to see that everything - products, people, systems and processes - is all quite impressive. Thanks again for letting me experience all this first-hand. I look forward to our on-going collaboration. Regards, George K. / ANC Auto Repair

Located on the campus of Ohio Technical College (OTC) in Cleveland, Ohio, is the Jasper Engines & Transmissions Training Center. OTC is the premier provider of specialized technical training to students in a wide variety of transportation fields. The JASPER Training Center provides OTC students the opportunity to work on many of the world’s most technologically advanced vehicles, using the latest high-tech computer diagnostic equipment. OTC formed a partnership with JASPER in July 2012 to use its products in the school’s Automotive and Auto-Diesel programs. The ASE/NATEF-Certified Automotive Technology program offers relevant hands-on training over the course of 72 weeks, while the Auto-Diesel program combines the automotive courses with Diesel Equipment Technology. Through the partnership, JASPER provides engines, transmissions and differentials, along with manufacturing, marketing and sponsor support to OTC. Students train on the company’s products during the six-week course held in the JASPER Training Center. The JASPER Training Center consists of five classrooms: three engine labs, one automatic transmission lab and one manual transmission and differential lab. Students learn disassembly, measuring, cylinder honing, how to work with Heli-coil inserts, timing belt installation and proper re-assembly and torque procedures. “We have classes going all the time as part of the Automotive and Auto-Diesel programs,” says Tom King, OTC Vice President of Enrollment Management and Technical Training. “We’ve started a new six-week course eight times since July and we’ve averaged 20 students per class.” The JASPER Training Center also trains students on automatic transmissions in rear and front-wheel drive vehicles, which is covered in car diagnostic testing, as well as transmission removal and reinstallation. In addition, differentials are covered during the manual transmission classes. “The partnership between JASPER and OTC has been very well received,” says King. “It’s been a tremendous opportunity for us to expose students not only to JASPER, but to some of the advanced technologies and training equipment JASPER uses.” “A huge benefit has been sharing some of the technologies and resources JASPER has, which has enhanced OTC’s curriculum for the students,” added King. “The amount of safety training and professionalism JASPER teaches is very beneficial to our students and has become an integral part of OTC’s program.”
